Requirements:
* Applicants must be at least 18 years old
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Pediatric CPR/ First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
* Successfully pass a background check and fingerprinting
Preferred Experience:
* Experience working with children preferred, but not required
Additional Opportunities:
*Hourly rates vary depending on the specific teaching position and experience. Additional pay opportunities for those with a Child Development Associate (CDA), Early Childhood Education degree or related field, or Elementary Teaching Certification
Schedule & Calendar:
*School hours are 8:45 AM-2:15 PM, with teacher hours from 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday- Friday
*We generally follow the Rockwall ISD school calendar with a few exceptions

Substitute Teachers
The Substitute Teacher provides flexible, reliable classroom support in the absence of regular teaching staff. This role ensures continuity of care and instruction by maintaining classroom routines, supervising children, and creating a safe, engaging environment. Substitute Teachers adapt quickly, follow lesson plans as provided, and support children’s emotional, social and developmental needs while upholding the school’s expectations for supervision and professionalism.
Music & Movement Teacher/ Program Support Assistant
The Music & Movement Teacher works with children ages 2 years old through middle threes, typically in groups of 10–11 students, providing engaging, interactive experiences that promote creativity, rhythm, coordination, and self-expression. Through songs, instruments, and movement activities, this role supports children’s social interactions, physical development and listening and comprehension skills. The teacher leads group sessions that are energetic, age-appropriate, and aligned with the school’s curriculum while creating a joyful and inclusive environment for all learners.
In addition to teaching, this role provides program support, including assisting with snack ordering and distribution, playground setup and cleanup, and other duties that support the daily operations of the program.
Preschool Teacher
The Preschool Teacher creates a nurturing and engaging classroom environment that supports the developmental needs of young children. This role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote emotional, social, physical, and cognitive growth while following the school’s curriculum guide. Preschool Teachers build strong relationships with children and families, guide positive behavior, and ensure active supervision while fostering curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning.
Pre-K Assistant Teacher
The Pre-K Assistant Teacher helps create a positive and engaging classroom environment that fosters children's emotional, social, cognitive, and academic growth. Working alongside the Lead Teacher, the Assistant Teacher helps implement developmentally appropriate lessons and learning experiences that build early literacy, early math, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills while encouraging independence and confidence. The Pre-K Assistant Teacher supports classroom routines, observes and monitors student progress, and helps provide individualized support to meet the needs of all learners. This position also partners with families and staff to nurture each child's growth and development.
