Our Staff:

Caring, energetic teachers committed to making your child's preschool experience happy, safe, & fun!

Our Director:

Susan graduated from the University of Texas in Austin.  She holds a M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction.  She has taught in public schools and at the University of Texas A&M Commerce.  She is a published author of elementary level curriculum and she is certified by the State of Texas as a Preschool Director. She is married to Ty and they have two children, Lauren and John.  You may contact her at sgallander@fumcrockwall.com.

Our Curriculum:

Our preschool curriculum includes theme-based units with science, art, circle time and mystery table fun each week!  Each day includes time on the playground, and Move n Groove time to develop gross motor skills.  Music Class is offered on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.  We finish the week with a fun theme-based special event!

Our prekindergarten program is designed to ensure a successful transition to kindergarten.  Using Handwriting without Tears curriculum and Calendar Math, we learn writing and mathematical thinking for "big school."  In addition to Music Class, Move n Groove, playground fun, and special events, we spend valuable time exploring math and science centers, literacy centers, and fine motor centers to encourage hands-on learning!  All of our programs include Bible verses and stories.  Our big kids (Building B) go to Chapel each week with our Children's Minister, Rev. Christina, as well as monthly Library Field Trips to the Rockwall County Library!  Our prekindergarten classrooms are staffed with a Certified Teacher and another loving member of our staff.

Come see our fun playgrounds, our engaging Outdoor Learning Center, our school guinea pigs, Harry & Larry in building A, and Lucy & Lola in building B, and the interior murals!

Our Mission:

To promote a nurturing community where

students create, imagine, and explore as they learn about God and their world.
